Community Guidelines

These Community Guidelines apply to all use of the Services, including prompts, search queries, chats, characters, profiles, images, audio, videos, Generations and other content, whether public or private.

If you are an account holder, you are responsible for all activity under your account. You must ensure that neither you nor any other end-user using your account uses the Services in breach of the Community Standards (as defined in our Terms of Service) or to solicit, access, generate, distribute, share or store Class 1A material or Class 1B material.

Class 1A material

Class 1A material is not permitted on the Services and must not be generated using the Services. Class 1A material includes child sexual exploitation material; pro-terror material; and extreme crime and violence material.

In plain terms, this includes: sexualised, exploitative or offensive material involving a person who is, appears to be or is described as under 18, including child sexual abuse material, grooming and sexual extortion; material that promotes, encourages or provides instruction in paedophile activity; material that promotes, encourages, instructs in or praises terrorist acts in a way that creates a substantial risk of further terrorist activity; and material involving extreme crime or violence, including extreme, gratuitous, exploitative or offensive depictions or descriptions of violence, cruelty, bestiality or sexual violence, or material that promotes, incites or gives detailed instruction in crime or violence.

Class 1B material

Class 1B material is also not permitted on the Services and must not be generated using the Services. Class 1B material includes crime and violence material that does not fall within the extreme crime and violence category, and drug-related material.

In plain terms, this includes serious material that promotes, incites or gives detailed instruction in crime or violence; realistic depictions of bestiality; gratuitous, exploitative or offensive depictions or descriptions of violence, cruelty or sexual violence; and material that promotes unlawful drug use or provides detailed instruction in the unlawful use of drugs.

Context

Context may affect whether material falls within these categories. Genuine public discussion, public debate, reporting, education, prevention, condemnation, entertainment or satire is not treated as pro-terror material merely because it refers to terrorism, provided it does not promote, encourage, instruct in or praise a terrorist act. Any permitted contextual material must still comply with these Terms and the Community Standards.

These descriptions summarise the Australian Class 1A and Class 1B categories. The Community Standards may prohibit additional material even where it does not fall within those statutory categories.
